LANIGAN'S TRAVELS
November....
thank*ful
/THaNGkfel/
adjective
1. pleased and relieved.
2. expressing gratitude and relief
Gratitude would be my choice word from the above. I am so grateful for all the love and friendship I have in my life, thankful for the ability to live a healthy life and thankful for the ability to experience so many things I enjoy.
Our travels began in California this month. Jim had a week-long work trip so I joined him at the end of the week and turned it into an adventure.
I spent two days exploring San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Cruz during the day while Jim was at work and then exploring with him in the evenings. We were able to visit one of our favorite restaurants in San Francisco (Cioppino's) and one of our favorite bars in San Francisco (Buena Vista) before heading out to the wineries on Friday. I had never visited Napa so I was quite happy. We spent all day Saturday and into Saturday evening visiting wineries, taking photos of the extraordinary views and meeting really great people. We had a very enjoyable time!
On November 14th our little Isabelle turned 4 years old. Although we did not get to travel to see her, we did get to visit her through Face Time. She sang to us thanked us for her gift. Such a wonderful conversation.
Next on the adventure calendar for November was our Minigan Fall party 2014! Our annual gathering of friends. So much fun with people that are such a part of our life. This is what life is about!
Speaking of friends, Tony's 40th birthday party was a blast. Again, it is so nice to see so many people gathering for friendship. Fun was had by all!
Thanksgiving was spent at a restaurant. Can you believe it? There were only going to be a few of us so we thought maybe we would try a restaurant this year. Jim found that Edgewild was open and had a great lineup of food. So Jim and I took his mom, his nephew and his nephew's girlfriend out for a delicious, fun filled afternoon.
Last on the agenda for November was talking with the wineries regarding the NSS 2015 Convention. Alicia wanted company while talking to the wineries regarding sponsorships. Who thought that would be a good idea?!?!? We visited a few wineries, drank a lot of wine and ended up at our favorite winery, Peaceful Bend. Clyde and Katie are such wonderful people and so much fun.
Life is Good! Enjoy!
