Minigan's Chicken Ranch - Dec 29

The process begins.  Even though we are not permanently moving for 5 to 6 months, the process has begun.  The very first thing we moved to the new house was the camper and two kayaks.......... in the wintry mix we had that weekend.

We were headed to a benefit for Peaceful Bend Winery and thought we would drop the trailer and kayaks off in the garage on the way.  Alicia met at our house to carpool with us so there were three of us.  On the way out the rain began.  Then the freezing rain.  We were driving down the highway in a "wintry mix" towing a camper with two kayaks on top.  I'm sure we were quite the sight.

After a little slipping and sliding on ice once we turned onto Whiskey Creek Road, we finally made it safely to the house and were able to put everything in the garage with no incidents.  Thank Goodness.
We continue to make small trips out to the house trying to get our thoughts together.  We take small, unorganized loads but nothing major at this point.  We have measured the rooms and had the Hart family over to give ideas.  (They walked over through the woods from their house with the kids and the dogs.  Totally cool!)

We've taken tons of "before " photos to help with the planning of the "after". Some of the additional features of the property below.

We received a photo today from Korey.  His tractor apparently made it with no problem to the house also!  :-)  These are the moments that we treasure and make us realize how lucky we are to have purchased this house.

Tomorrow we take our first big load out and will begin painting the kitchen and dining room.

More to come from Minigan's Chicken Ranch!
