Off the Grid - Day 10 - My Final Day

1st Day of Spring!  Snow?  Really?

The last few days have been great.  Friday is cold and just dreary so I stay in most of the day anticipating Jim's arrival.  I am so happy to see him when he pulls up.

He quickly gets settled in and we decide to run into Washington to have dinner.  After we put the chickens to bed of course.

We have a great night out. Johnny G's for dinner and Korey sends us a message and suggests we try Old Dutch for a night cap.  We have a blast at both places.  The food at Johnny G's is outstanding.  We highly recommend it!       We introduce ourselves to a friend of Korey and Anna's at Old Dutch and talk to her for a while.  It is apparent that Korey and Anna are loved by everyone.

We head back to the farm and enjoy a very nice fire before bed.

Saturday we make the decision to property hunt.  And maybe head to Hermann to visit a winery for lunch. It's a beautiful morning.

First, we have to get out chores done!

We come up with somewhat of a plan for looking at properties and head out.

We spend the morning in the car driving around looking at areas that may be interesting to property hunt.  Some turn out good, others...... not so much.  Productive morning though.

It's after noon and we both are starting to get hungry.  Hermann, here we come! We never made it out of Hermann until it was time to get back to the farm.  There is always so much to do in Hermann and we ran into a friend of ours that was playing music at one of the wineries.   Such fun!

It's time to get back though and get everyone fed.  The chickens come out to greet us as we pull up. They are so cute!   I go out to feed the pigs and Jim goes to work on getting a fire going.
Rural Life :-)

It's so quiet and peaceful.

We wake this morning to snow falling.  I have experienced sunshine and 80 degree weather, rain and dreary and now snow and wind.   Amazing.    The farm is beautiful in the snow.

Jim leaves this morning.  He has things to do at home.

Korey and Anna arrive home late afternoon.  I end up staying for at least an hour after they arrive.  I have so many fun stories for them.

It is so fun to talk about farming with them.  They are so knowledgeable.

It's been a fun 10 days.  I have learned so much and had so much fun.

I have no idea how to end this blog.  Basically because I don't want it to end.  I want to garden.  I want to farm.  I can't wait until it is us.

Below are some of the photos with the snow.  Enjoy.
