LANIGAN'S TRAVELS

August...........

(MY BIRTH-MONTH!)

Although August did not carry us far from our beloved Missouri,

it did carry us to a variety of miles IN Missouri. Cheers to the man I love and get to share all of this with!

- Movie night with Elaine and Paul.  Wolf of Wall Street is even funnier the second time around!

- The 2014 Moonlight Ramble!  Starting Time: MIDNIGHT.   20 miles were ridden (after a little get together at our meeting place.... better known as Schlafly's)  We began our ride on Market and headed South.  Made a pit stop at Jefferson Bistro a little after 1:00.  Completed the ride a little after 2:30. Nothing like driving down the middle of the road in the middle of the night.  Everyone was in great spirits at the end of the ride, although a little sleepy.   Breakfast anyone?  We were lucky enough to have a wonderful hostess for breakfast that stayed up and cooked while waiting for us to complete the ride.  Thank you to Alicia Wallace for a fabulous breakfast!

Jim and I arrived home around 5:30 am, closed the doors and the blinds in our bedroom and crashed!

- Had a wonderful dinner with friends honoring a woman we were all proud and lucky to have had in our lives.  Thanks to Mary Kausch for being such a gracious hostess for this event!

- And then there was the MVG float trip/camping trip/caving trip.   I will start by saying I have a wonderful husband.  He graciously agreed to tent camping this weekend ........ in 100 degree weather  when we have a perfectly new trailer sitting at home that has air conditioning.  Of course I would have never asked had I known it was going to be that hot!   However, we made it!  As did more than 50 of our other friends.   Such a fun, fun weekend with such great people.  And dogs.
