Saving The Planet.........
Volume 1 No. 8
September 2013
My Way!

My how time flies!

The past couple of months have been a whirlwind.   Lots of travel, lots of friends.  Jim and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on September 15th.....  Life couldn't be better.

It's really been a great summer but in the back of my head, I could hear the Planet whispering, "What have you done for me lately?".

This caused me to look back over the summer and think about what I actually have done or what I have been able to appreciate about our Planet.

Appreciation:

Gail taking a photo

In June, Gail and I went hiking at Hawn State Park.  We both appreciate nature so much and we were able to spend a day seeing a lot of it.  Why would someone NOT want to keep the Planet healthy when there is so much beauty.

Jack

On June 27th my beautiful grandson, Jack was born.  9 lbs. 3 oz. of pure beauty.  I want the planet to be safe for him and my granddaughter, Isabelle.  I look at these two small little beings and hope and pray they get to see the beauty I have seen in my lifetime.

In July, we had the second "Spring MVOR" which turned out perfect.
The people were all wonderful and respectful.
And the bonfire was excellent!

Of course there was the trip to Alaska also!
I can't even describe the beauty I saw.  Jim, Jaimey and I spent 8 days hiking around mountains and glaciers and seeing more nature than we thought possible.  The glaciers are melting though and it's just a shame. This is a photo of a glacier that was calving (breaking off).  Jim had the camera and was fast enough to get the shot.
Beautiful sight to see but I wish it wasn't happening.

The month of August was full of camping with the girls, going to Tennessee and hiking in the mountains and celebrating my 50th birthday!   I have seen so much beauty this summer!

So What Have I Done?:

1) I've been respectful of our Planet by trying to reuse and recycle!
2) I have spread the word of Sustainability!
3) I have created a Green Team at my office and am very excited about this.  I plan to have a monthly newsletter and educate even more people, while still learning more myself.

My goal for Fall is to learn something new that I can implement at home or in my office to assist in these efforts.

Now, our Planet asks each of you............

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY?"
